2020 Annual Giving

In 2020, with the Coronavirus pandemic and the associated lockdowns impacting on our societies and economies across the world, and of course also in our Greater Geelong region, the Foundation Board has made the decision not to engage in a specific Annual Giving campaign. The Board believes that at this time, there are many pressing causes related directly to health that need support, and likewise that many of our members may not be as well placed this year to give.

At the same time, we also know that the cause of the long term sustainability of the Geelong Gallery remains as important as ever. And we understand that some Foundation members will want to support the cause even with regard to this difficult current environment.

We ask that if this is you, you simply use the Donate Now facility on this site to access our secure payments system. A tax receipt will be issued as soon as you donate. All donations will be greatly appreciated, especially at this very challenging time.

2019 Annual Giving

In 2019, the exhibition focus of our 2019 Annual Giving Campaign was  the fabulous exhibition of the amazing Bob Gartland collection of rare Geelong Cats objects and images dating back to 1864.

The exhibition was fabulous, as all attending will attest. The campaign resulted in total donations of  almost $32,000, providing a great boost to help ensure the future of our wonderful Geelong Gallery.

Many thanks go to Bob Gartland for sharing this unique collection with us, and to Director Jason Smith and the staff of Geelong Gallery for a great show.

The Greatest Team of All—Treasures from the Bob Gartland collection.

2018 Annual Giving

Through the work of our 2018 campaign, Geelong Gallery Foundation, and you its supporters, helped enable the Gallery to bring Sidney Nolan’s Ned Kelly series to Geelong! On tour from the National Gallery of Australia, Sidney Nolan’s 1946–47 images on the theme of 19th-century bushranger Ned Kelly comprise the most famous series of Australian paintings of the 20th century. Your donations helped ensure that we could deliver this series, an exhibition that proved not only immensely popular with the Greater Geelong community, but also a major drawcard for visitors to our great city and region.
